Trichogramma

Trichogramma is a genus of minute polyphagous wasps that are endoparasitoids of insect eggs. Trichogramma is one of around 80 genera from the family Trichogrammatidae, with over 200 species worldwide.

How it works

The adult female parasitic wasps of Trichogramma lay an egg in a host egg. Larvae develop inside the host egg, and after pupae the adult emerges from the host egg by biting a hole in the shell of the egg.
